MEETING WITH THE FISHERMEN
We undertake a trip to the Sultanate of Oman especially for its beaches where turtles come to lay their eggs, for the souks of Muscat, for the Wadis, the mountains or to venture in 4×4 in the sandy deserts. This is another aspect of the country that I would like to make you discover here.
I discovered one on a fishing spot that stretches over hundreds of meters in the middle of nowhere.
The fishermen all come from Bangladesh. These men left their country many years ago, some of them for more than 10 years, in search of a well-paid job. A salary that now allows them to return home every two years to be reunited with their families for a few days. The rest of the time they work 6 days a week in difficult conditions, in inhospitable places. On their days off, they wander on their beach.
